Bracknell
The site is located within a major growth area of North Bracknell. The woodland site forms part of the Whitegrove and Quelm masterplan which will deliver a comprehensive mixed use development including, residential, employment, social and physical infrastructure; and measures to avoid and mitigate the impact of the residential development upon the Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Area.
The woodland site will be key to achieving the level of mitigation required for the development, which makes the site an integral part of the masterplan for the delivery of housing, a process known as 'equalisation', thus offering the same investment return as the land proposed for housing. Development is scheduled for the plan period of 2017 to 2026.
